Drum roll, please…
Today, Android has official announced the official flavor of the next official version of Android. Officially.
We now know that the “N” in Android N stands for… Nougat!

It’s release date will most like be between sometime this September-October, and most likely for Nexus devices first. However, you can go here if you’d like to download a developer preview of it. Note that it only works on certain phones and is prone to a lot of errors/sudden shutdowns, so you probably shouldn’t do it on a phone you every day.
For me, I’ll just be waiting. I guess you could say that I have “nougat” the next version of Android!
